		<description>Eric Comstock is an Austin-based painter and illustrator who has always had a love for art. Before diving in headlong, he ventured into advertising as an art director. After 10 years he left the ad world to start a company with his wife Julie where they mainly focused on surface design and illustration for paper and fabric. Six years passed quickly and they were ready to sell their company and slow their pace. He now focuses on illustration and surface design for companies like Cosmo Cricket, Land of Nod, Shutterfly, Moda Fabrics, TeNeus, Graniph, minted.com, and, whenever possible, himself.

		<description>I have long been fascinated with graphics, type, and vintage ephemera—especially antique letterhead and mid-century imagery from the popular press. I like the interplay between old and new, mixing images and type to create a collision between cultural constructs past and present.  
This new body of work is a collage series of Life magazine ads from the early 1960s reconsidered through the reductive language of contemporary social interaction. Vegas is and has always been a consumer’s romp and a marketer’s dream. The collages play with Sin City’s history and tease the world of advertising by reimagining these lush vintage images through the lens of our instantaneous, media-frenzied culture. The work is nostalgic but not naively so, and using humor implicates the viewer in their own role as a consumer of all things, from cars to art. Part challenge, part commentary, it takes the form of a time-traveling text message to both our past and present selves—SRSLY...WTF!

		<description>Erica Hauser is a 2002 graduate of School of Visual Arts in New York City with a BFA in Illustration. She also studied at the Art Students League of NY and Cornell University. She grew up in Brewster, NY and lived in NYC for 7 years before moving 50 miles up the Hudson River to Beacon in early 2007, drawn by its abundance of natural beauty, creative inspiration
and vibrant community.

Erica was the featured solo artist at TastySpace during May and June 2012.

		<description>Jelaine Faunce is a Henderson-based contemporary realist painter. She credits journaling, an organized environment, and meditation several times a day—before, during, and after her studio time—for the clarity, focus, and vibrance she is able to consistently deliver in her work. She studied proudly under Mary Warner at UNLV.

Jelaine was the featured solo artist at TastySpace during May, June, and August 2012.

Originals range in size. 6" x 6"  8" x 8"  10" x 10"   12" x 12" and larger.
